After reading this article in the Law gazette on Monday 3rd February 2020. I had a smile on my face. Why? Well it’s the first time there has been a proper survey of what the general public think of the law profession. I was immensely happy that of the 9 out of 10 people who had used a solicitor they were happy with the service that they received.
The general Press do not have a great love of the profession where I make my livelihood, but this just goes to prove that they are incorrect in the supposition that we are all charlatans. The article then goes on to say that 1 in 5 people were dissatisfied with non-regulated services such as Will writers and McKenzie friends.
The legal market is changing, it always has and always will. We as lawyers need to keep pace with what the general public want and constantly strive to give a great service and value for money. So, as we embrace technology in the 20’s we will continue to strive to give a value for money service representing injured people across England and Wales.
