Manchester based personal injury law firm, Express Solicitors, has once again been ranked in the Legal 500 guide, with seven of its team classed as Recommended Lawyers. The firm has also moved up 10 places in The Lawyer UK 200.
The Legal 500 has placed Express Solicitors’ personal injury department in tier five, describing a ‘very professional and caring team’ with five Recommended Lawyers including the ‘knowledgeable’ Richard Lowery and Daniel Slade, who ‘asks the right questions’.
Senior partner Robin Patey was singled out for his handling of cases and at associate level, Craig Phillips had a ‘great grasp of the main issues of the case’ while Anna Woodruff manages cases with ‘skill and determination’.
The review continued that ‘in a complex matter on liability and quantum the team secured a good settlement for the claimant who suffered a severe head injury and brain injury when she was knocked over by the defendant.’
Express Solicitors’ clinical negligence department remained in tier four with its head Ben Gent being ranked as a Next Generation Lawyer; Ben and associate partner Anna Pearson were also classed as Recommended Lawyers.
The Legal 500 guide said Ben Gent ‘has very quickly established a well-earned name for consistently high-quality advice that is always provided in a caring way’. Gent is ‘always prepared to go that extra mile for his clients and he shows great intuition of what his clients need’. Anna was said to be ‘thorough and very effective’ and ‘another key member of the team that is adept at handling high-value claims’ while demonstrating ‘great insight into the key issues of the case’.
In the Lawyer UK 200, based on a statistical analysis of the UK’s largest firms ranked by revenue, Express Solicitors moved from 161st to 151st place.
