Eleanor Brickell is a Litigation Assistant in the Occupiers and Public Liability department at Express Solicitors having initially joined the firm in September 2015.
Eleanor specialise in Occupiers and Public Liability cases but also deals with product liability and defective premises cases.
When asked what she likes best about her role, Eleanor commented, “I love working in the Occupiers and Public Liability team as there is such a variety in the cases that are allocated to me. This means that I am constantly learning new things and feel that my legal knowledge is growing on a weekly basis.”
“I am a people person and like to build a rapport with each of my clients to make them feel as comfortable as possible with me and with the process as a whole. I appreciate the fact that many of my clients have never brought forward a personal injury claim before and the process can be extremely daunting to someone with little or no knowledge of how a claim works. I understand that my clients have been through an ordeal that has had a negative impact on their life in a variety of ways, both physically and emotionally, and I take pride in my compassionate approach. I like to think my clients can trust me to competently deal with the legal issues so that they can focus on their recovery and getting their life back on track. Since starting at Express I have learned to master the balance between professionalism and compassion in order to provide the best possible service to my clients. “
Eleanor is currently a Litigation Executive completing her Law degree at BPP University. Eleanor commented, “I find this approach to qualification the best route for me as I learn best by ‘doing’. Although the route is challenging and there is not much free time in my life at the moment with juggling a full case load and my studying, I am very focused and motivated, and I am really enjoying the challenge.”
