Khuram Ahmed is an Associate in the Employers Liability department at Express Solicitors, having joined the firm in February 2018.

Khuram specialises in Employers Liability claims including accidents at work but does have particular experience in claims arising from attacks on staff at care homes, defective work equipment and unsafe systems of work. For example, Khuram has successfully helped a Client obtain £25,000 in compensation after they were a victim of an attack by a vulnerable patient at a care home and has also advised a Client who fractured their hip at work after falling from their lorry. This led to compensation of £75,000.

When asked what he likes best about his role, Khuram commented, “I enjoy assisting people who have been mistreated by the very people that they work hard for on a daily basis, their Employers. As a result of their Employer’s negligence the Client suffer difficulty financially and physically, which has a knock-on effect on their family and lifestyle. I enjoy being a part of a journey to help them get back on their feet.”

“I am a calm, rational and organised lawyer who works efficiently with minimal fuss. This in turn assures Clients and gives them confidence in their case during an otherwise stressful period in their lives.”

Before joining Express Solicitors Khuram graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011 with a Law Degree (LLB) and has worked as a fee earner for the last 6 years with experience in all types of personal injury cases in both a Claimant and Defendant setting.

Prior to joining Express Solicitors, Khuram was the sole Employer’s Liability specialist at a small law firm in South Manchester for 3 years.

Khuram currently lives in Levenshulme, Manchester with his wife and 7 month old son (who likes to have “play time” at 3am every morning…)

Khuram volunteers for various race relations charities across Manchester. His work involves providing support for victims of verbal and physical racism and spreading awareness of racism and its consequences.

He writes articles discussing equality and racism in the UK and is currently working on a blog focusing on self-help for ethnic minorities. Therefore, he spends time reading and researching all things history, politics and equality related.

When Khuram finally gets some time to himself, he likes to go to the gym or go for a run. He has run numerous 10k runs and Half Marathons.
