Matthew Hopkins is a Litigation Executive in the Road Traffic Accidents department at Express Solicitors, having initially joined the firms New Client Team in September 2018. Matthew is currently on a 12-month placement as part of his law degree from Aston University.

Matthew deals with all types of Road Traffic Accidents that are submitted to the portal, which are under the value of £25,000. When asked about what he enjoys most about his role, Matthew answered “I enjoy being able to provide justice to people who have been hurt through no fault of their own. Furthermore, being able to see my work help transform someone’s life is a great privilege which I relish every day.” Matthew also stated how he enjoys being able to learn from experienced colleagues every day at the firm.

Matthew also stated his wealth of experience in customer service roles has allowed to provide a quality service to clients and build a strong rapport with them. “At the end of the day I aim to have provided a quality service to clients, and my work is always dedicated to progressing client’s cases and ensuring they are happy throughout the process”

Matthew has a strong passion for law which has developed over several years and has been involved with many legal associations in the past. He likes to keep up to date about the legal industry and has a blog which explores the latest developments. Matthew hopes to qualify as a solicitor in the near future.

Matthew currently lives in Withington and in his spare time he loves to watch football and is a dedicated supporter of Reading FC. Matthew also enjoys keeping fit by regularly going on runs around Manchester.

Matthew enjoys charitable work and has previously spent time volunteering for Citizens Advice Bureau and fundraising for Make A Wish foundation. Matthew says that he believes a lot can be learnt from charity work, and he relishes an opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s life.

Matthew also enjoys listening to music in order to unwind and relax, and regularly attends music festivals and concerts whenever possible with his friends.

Matthew states that he would love to go travelling in the future and has enjoyed the opportunity to explore Manchester. “The city has a great atmosphere and culture, I would definitely recommend living in Manchester!”
