Pritha Bala is a Litigation Executive in the Employers Liability department at Express Solicitors, having initially joined the firms New Client Team in March 2017.

When asked what she likes best about her role, Pritha commented “I think that the best part of my job is having the ability to help people, as cliché as that may sound. I feel truly delighted once I have taken instructions from a client, considered the accident in which they have been involved and I have managed to secure the best settlement for them at the end of their claim.”

“Having started with the firm in March 2017 in the New Client Team, I progressed onto becoming a Litigation Assistant within the Employers’ Liability department under the supervision of William O’Brien and Eleanor Turton, two exceptional solicitors. Their valuable experience and insight have enabled me to understand what is required to bring a successful Employers’ Liability claim. As such, I currently handle my own Employers’ Liability cases to a requisite standard.“

“I pride myself in providing clients with an understandable approach to their claims. I achieve this with my personalised approach to each client and believe that this puts clients at ease and manages their expectations from the outset of the claim. I always aim to be approachable and accessible to each and every client.”

Pritha attended Northumbria University where she studied and completed her LLB, LLM and LPC. In her last year of university Pritha undertook a module in which she managed her own caseload, dealing with civil matters ranging for Wills & Probate to Property Law which she undertook on a pro bono basis which meant this service was available to everyone.

Pritha currently resides in Manchester, a city which she absolutely adores. Pritha explained, “From the outdoor activities to the cultural aspects, I very much enjoy the people and the good vibes that is associated with Manchester.”

“I am going to be honest and say that in my spare time I love to wind down with some Netflix. There’s nothing better than indulging in some sci-fi and then switching over to some good old Friends. When I’m not enjoying a Louis Theroux documentary, you will usually find me cooking. I absolutely love expressing my artistic nature in my food and broadening my horizons to all cuisines. There is nothing I wouldn’t try once!”

“I think a quote that completely resonates with my character is – “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” I find that this is completely relevant in my approach to life and work. It allows me to have an ‘out of the box’ approach to everything I do.”
