Assistant Solicitor
» Back To Department

So Tang is an Assistant Solicitor in the Road Traffic Accidents department, having joined Express Solicitors in April 2018.

When asked what she likes best about her role, So commented, “In my role as a solicitor, I like that I am helping my clients who have suffered injuries due to someone else’s fault.  It feels like I am fighting injustice, even if it’s in a small way, although to the clients, it can mean a great deal.  I am extremely satisfied when I get a successful outcome for my clients.  And it means a lot to me when I get positive feedback from my clients.  It makes the job seem worthwhile.”

“I am very proactive as a file handler and like to progress cases quickly.  I know that in this industry, efficiency is one of the key things that can win a case.  I listen to my clients and will do all I can if I believe that there are reasonable prospects.  And even if prospects are low, I will try a different angle and get the best outcome for that client.  Prior to my role at Express, I had a heavy litigated caseload and I learnt to prioritise.  I am also pretty good at multitasking.”

So studied her Law degree and LPC at the University of Central Lancashire and qualified as a Solicitor on 1st April 2009.

So lives in Gatley with her Partner and young daughter, whish conveniently is only 5 minutes away from the Express Solicitors office!

So commented, “Since my daughter came into the world, my life is now all about her, I am ashamed to say.  But then again, I really wouldn’t have it any other way. During the personal part of the photoshoot for the website, we were asked to bring something in with us.  I had nothing, apart from my daughter, but we were specifically told that no kids or pets were allowed.  So instead, I snuck my daughter’s favourite doll “Molly” in.  My little girl used to have Molly with her every bed time and took her everywhere.  Now that she’s older, Molly sits on her bed, or sometimes under it. Ever a keen eye, my daughter did ask me why Molly was hidden in my handbag as I tried to make my way out of the house one morning. I think I made a run for it when she wasn’t looking.”

So is also a massive Harry Potter fan and loves the magical world created by JK Rowling. So also loves Bill Bryson and finds his books hilariously funny and have been part of her reading list ever since her Uni Days.

At the weekend when So isn’t taking her daughter to soft play, or the park, or watching her favourite Trolls film for the 50th time, you will find them eating lots of noodles at their local dim sum restaurant.

So’s favourite quote – “Anything is possible if you’ve got enough nerve”

JK Rowling, of course.
