» Back To Department

Tom Pinney is a Trainee Solicitor in the Road Traffic Accident department at Express Solicitors, having initially joined the firm’s New Client Team. Tom’s role involves working on a wide variety of cases since he is paralegal for Senior Partner, Robin Patey, as well as dealing with his own case load.

When asked about his role, Tom commented: “I’m really enjoying the challenge of working on cases that can have a life changing effect on people. Further to this, I feel that the experience I have gained whilst assisting on high value and complex cases has strengthened my knowledge in personal injury litigation. I can now use this experience when dealing with my own clients.

“I think that building and maintaining a rapport with client’s and witnesses is essential to the role that I carry out at Express Solicitors and something that I really bring to the team. I also like the attention to detail that my job requires, another area in which I feel I excel.”

Before joining Express Solicitors, Tom passed the BPTC at Manchester Metropolitan University and was called to the Bar as a member of Gray’s Inn in March 2014. Tom has also gained a History degree from the University of York and has a Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law.

As well as working in the legal field, Tom has extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism industries. Tom explains: “These industries are also incredibly consumer focussed and have allowed me to hone my client handling skills.”
