Liam Boyd

£18k secured by Express following Cat and Fiddle motorbike accident

Liam Boyd suffered a broken collarbone and other less serious injuries during a motorbike ride with his friend in Macclesfield.

He was riding his bike on the infamous Cat and Fiddle Road between Macclesfield and Buxton when his friend caused an accident with another biker and both bikes hit Liam.

Liam suffered severe whiplash and also broke his clavicle (collar bone) when he was shunted onto a barrier.  The injury required an operation which, not being wholly successful, has left Liam vulnerable to further injury if he does not take great care.

“I couldn’t believe it when I was hit by both bikes, but I knew that Express Solicitors would work hard on my case and help me win compensation for my injuries.

“I had an operation on my collar bone, which was plated together but it hasn’t knitted properly and the bone will always be vulnerable.  This means that I will always have to be mindful when, say, lifting heavy objects.  Not only does this affect any job I take on in the future but also my hobbies as I used to enjoy shooting, but can’t do this any more.

“The service Express Solicitors gave me was brilliant and the case was closed much quicker than I expected.  I received almost £18,000 for my injuries, which also included scarring to my body and a soft tissue injury to my leg as well as other losses such as the damage to my bike and its recovery and storage.

“After a further motorbike injury I don’t bother riding anymore as it’s just too dangerous, but I would recommend Express Solicitors to anyone that finds themselves in the same position as me.”
