Simran Sathi is an Associate Solicitor in the Employer’s Liability department at Express Solicitors, having joining the firm as part of the New Client Team in August 2013.

When asked what he enjoys about his role, Simran answered: “Every day presents a different challenge; I enjoy how busy I am as it helps me work on my time management skills. The cases that I work on are varied, there is lots of diversity and I am always learning new things. It’s great to have an insight on how the claim starts and the fact that I am a part of helping the client to receive compensation for an injury that was not their fault.”

Simran is organised and highly motivated; good at building rapport with the client’s and aims to make them comfortable enough to call if they have any question regarding their case. Simran has great people skills and attention to detail and has the ability to adapt his approach when speaking to different clients.

Simran believes that it is of great important to have an understanding of the clients position and what they are going through, as the injuries that they have sustained could have had a significant impact upon their lives. Simran always strives to go the extra mile to ensure that clients receive the best service that the firm can offer.

Before joining Express Solicitors, Simran studied at the University of Central Lancashire and gained a 2:1 degree in Law with Human Rights. Simran has also completed his Legal Practice Course at Manchester Metropolitan University. As well as developing his academic credentials Simran also worked for a year in Sales which helped him build confidence and improve his customer service skills.

When out of the office, Simran enjoys spending valuable family time with his wife and son visiting the park. He also likes going out to dinner with his wife and then on to watch a comedy film at the cinemas.

To keep fit, Simran plays tennis and badminton with his friends at the Armitage Centre in Fallowfield.

Simran’s favourite quote comes from Albert Einstein: “You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”
