Stuart McLachlan is a Partner and the Head of IT at Express Solicitors having joined the firm in October 2017.

When asked what Stuart enjoys the most about his role, he commented “I enjoy the use of IT/Technology to streamline business processes across the firm. I also enjoy using new tech to either enhance an area of the business or to reduce outgoing costs. The true beauty with IT is its power to be leveraged in almost any area of a business.”

Stuart went on to say “Coming from an IT consulting background I have touched on a lot of technology that can benefit small to medium businesses, Express Solicitors promote the use of technology in all areas of the business this allows the IT team and I to invest in new technologies. I am IT generalist and have passed multiple vender specific exams including Cisco and Microsoft.”

“I have been working in the IT industry for the past 20 years and passing manufacture exams for the past 18 of those years. During this time, I have built up a great understanding of IT in general, I now leverage this knowledge and understanding not only in my BAU duties but also when researching, planning, testing and implementing new technologies.”

“During my career I have passed over 10 vender specific certifications, including Cisco, Microsoft, VMware and HP as well as general IT certifications from Comptia”.
