More about Sean Tonna

Sean Tonna is a Trainee Solicitor in our Road Traffic Accidents Department.

Sean immigrated to the UK from Canada in 2018 when he attended the University of Dundee to complete his LLB in English Law. Previously, Sean completed an Undergraduate in Psychology at Ryerson University (now the Metropolitan University of Toronto) and his Masters in Theological Studies at the University of Toronto, specialising primarily in Catholicism in World War II. Sean decided to make the shift to practicing law due to his desire to help disadvantaged people.

Outside of academia, Sean completed a three-month internship at the People for Change Foundation Malta, a non-for-profit that advocates for the rights of minority groups in Malta. Sean worked at identifying areas of policy, case law to draft recommendations for amendments to Malta’s constitution. Other projects included an analysis of Malta progression towards its 2050 UN Goals and migrant integration (i.e. language lessons) initiatives.

Sean is a diligent worker with an excellent work ethic, who dedicates a lot of his time to ensuring that the client gets a favourable result.

Sean’s favourite quote comes from ancient Roman philosopher Virgil “Per Aspera Ad Astra”, translating to “From Hardship to the Stars”. Without hard work and dedication no one can succeed in life or their career.
