Maryam Akhtar is a trainee solicitor in the Occupiers and Public Liability department. Maryam graduated from the University of Manchester in 2024 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). She later joined Express Solicitors in 2025 where she worked as a litigation assistant for 7 months before progressing onto her role as a trainee solicitor.
Maryam has found particular interest in personal injury law since graduating and growing her experience at the firm. She enjoys the fast-paced environment and being able to build relationships with clients. She is dedicated to providing clients with outstanding care, taking extra consideration to understand their challenges and demonstrate her knowledge in the area.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, she says “I really enjoy the work I do. I think being able to support clients throughout the journey of their case is really important, especially considering how complex the law can be. Providing support and reassurance to clients is essential.”
