Bilal is a Trainee Solicitor in the Civil Liberties Department, working on actions against the police and cases involving infringements of fundamental rights.

His commitment to justice has shaped his path since childhood and led him to study Law and Politics at the University of Kent, graduating with first-class honours. He later completed a master’s degree in public international law at the University of Manchester with distinction, specialising in the protection of oppressed communities. This academic grounding informs his approach to civil liberties work, where he is driven to challenge unlawful conduct and support clients whose rights have been compromised.

Bilal is particularly focused on evidential analysis, and ensuring clients feel supported and heard throughout the litigation process. He is bilingual in English and Arabic, which enables him to support clients from a wide range of backgrounds with clarity and sensitivity.

Bilal aims to combine rigorous legal reasoning with a client-centred practice that reflects Express Solicitors’ commitment to accountability and high-quality representation.

Outside work, Bilal is a Manchester United season ticket holder of over a decade and has a strong interest in reading, current affairs, and international politics. Bilal’s favourite artists are Frank Sinatra and Fairuz!
