Express Solicitors has expanded its specialist personal injury offering with the acquisition of Sorrymate, a well‑known legal brand dedicated to supporting motorcyclists injured on the road.
As part of the deal, Express Solicitors will continue to operate and invest in the Sorrymate brand, part of wider personal injury firm Smooth Law, ensuring its strong identity and trusted reputation remain at the forefront of biker‑focused legal services.
Sorrymate has built a loyal following within the motorcycling community, known for its approachable style, deep sector knowledge, commitment to rider safety and being run by bikers for bikers.
By bringing the brand into the Express Solicitors group, the firm aims to enhance the resources, legal expertise and nationwide reach available to motorcyclists seeking help after an accident. Smooth Law personal injury cases will also move over to Express.
James Maxey, CEO at Express Solicitors, said: “Sorrymate has become a respected and recognisable name among bikers and we are proud to bring it into the Express Solicitors family. We are committed to preserving the brand’s identity while strengthening the legal support available to riders across the UK. This acquisition aligns perfectly with our growth strategy and ensuring injured people, particularly those on the roads, receive the very best representation.
Sorrymate directors Paul McKittrick, Mark Flynn and Louise Burns-Lunt will transition over to the Express group and continue to showcase the brand at events and other marketing opportunities.
McKittrick said: “Joining Express Solicitors marks an exciting new chapter for Sorrymate. Our clients will continue to receive the same dedicated, biker‑focused service they know us for – now backed by the scale, resources and expertise of the UK’s biggest personal injury claimant firm*.”
Maxey added: “We’re also keen to carry on the great work Sorrymate has been doing in supporting Blood Bikes and the air ambulance charities, all organisations that are so intrinsically connected to the biker community, so we’re delighted to be able to weave that into our existing charity work at Express.”
Express Solicitors will maintain the Sorrymate brand, website and community presence, ensuring continuity for existing clients and partners. All ongoing cases will transition seamlessly, with the combined team working to deliver an even stronger service offering and brand positioning.
Sorrymate is the second acquisition of 2026 for Express following on from Aegis Legal.
“We’re working on others, our strategy is very firmly focused on acquisition-based expansion, supported by the investment we secured from Ufenau Capital Partners at the end of last year,” Maxey concluded.
