During May, Express had a team of three cyclists take part in the 2026 Tour de Manc and a team of 10 run The Great Manchester 10K all in aid of the North Staffordshire branch of brain injury charity Headway.
This was part of our ‘Head-May’ fundraising campaign, a whole month dedicated to fundraising vital funds to support a wide range of Headway’s services, including brain injury rehabilitation programmes, carer support and respite care.
Damian Bradley, Head of Legal Operations and Partner and Neil Sagar, Senior Associate Solicitor in our Employers’ Liability department and Michael Hardacre, a Partner in our Occupiers’ and Public Liability took on the hills of Greater Manchester, cycled a combined 365km and raised over £1,300.
Our 10 runners came from several teams including our Road Traffic Accidents department, Consumer Claims department and HR. By the time they crossed the finish line, they had helped to raise over £1,400.
Across the two athletic challenges and our Hats for Headway event Express raised £3,000 for the charity.
Headway North Staffordshire is one of our corporate charities, so we fundraise for the organisation regularly. We have taken part in previous Hats for Headway events and last year we had a team of runners take part in the Great North Run.
