We’ve sponsored Joe Pickering, a Trainee Solicitor in our Employers’ Liability department, for the upcoming rugby season. He plays in the first team at Heaton Moor RUFC.
A significant portion of the sponsorship money goes to supporting the Liam O’Connor Foundation, a charity that helps young players continue their rugby journey from junior rugby into the adult game.
The team, which is based in Stockport and plays in the Counties 2 ADM Lancashire & Cheshire league, will play their first game against Liverpool Collegiate in September.
Joe said: “The player sponsorship is a great way to promote grassroots rugby for all age groups and to help the club serve the local community.
“It is great to see the willingness that Express show when provided with an opportunity to help support the local community. On a personal level it means a great deal that Express are supporting me both in work and out.”
