Emily Underwood joined Express Solicitors in June 2025 and was promoted to Trainee Solicitor within the Criminal Injuries Compensation department in December 2025.
Emily began her legal journey in 2021 while studying for her LLB (Hons) in Law at the University of Law in Manchester. During this time, she developed a strong interest across varies fields of law, but with a passion for criminal law and civil litigation.
When asked what she enjoys about her work, Emily said:
“I find it rewarding to support clients through such a personal and often emotional process. I try to approach every case with empathy and attention to detail, ensuring each client feels listened to and understood.”
Outside of work, Emily is passionate about fitness and enjoys an active lifestyle. She regularly trains at the gym and takes part in boxing, finding that the discipline and focus the sport requires translate well into her approach to legal work.
