Rachel is a Partner of Express Solicitors Limited and has been with the company since 2026 having been a director with Aegis Legal since 2016.

Rachel has over 25 years of experience of dealing with all aspects of Personal Injury Litigation, having dealt with claims arising from Road Traffic Collisions, particularly those involving vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists. Rachel also has experience of dealing with claims arising from Occupiers and Public Liability accidents. Rachel has dealt with clinical negligence matters arising from misdiagnosis, delay in diagnosis, surgical errors, failures to refer and orthopaedic errors.

Rachel has particular experience of dealing with incidents and accidents at work particularly those resulting in serious injuries.  She has dealt with many claims arising from accidents on construction sites, injuries arising from defective equipment, incidents relating to assaults at work and claims relating to manual handling.

Rachel has dealt with claims on behalf of clients who have suffered a wide variety of injuries including cuts and bruises, limb fractures, vertebral fractures and more complicated fractures and soft tissue injuries. Rachel also has experience of dealing with claims resulting in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Functional Neurological Disorder.

Notable settlements include a settlement for more than £170,000 for a client who developed tuberculosis following the negligent administration of medication by hospital trust.

Rachel also successfully negotiated a settlement of over £300,000 for a Claimant who developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome following a fall at work.

Additionally, Rachel successfully pursued a claim on behalf of a client who developed Functional Neurological Disorder following an incident at work, the case settled for more than £2 million.

Rachel also acted on behalf of a Claimant who suffered injuries following the failure of a cherry picker at work. The case succeeded at trial and is one of few reported claims relating to the application of the Employers Liability (Defective Equipment) Act 1969 Johnson v Nationwide Platforms Limited

Rachel also successfully pursued a claim for a client who was the victim of a sexual assault on a cross -channel ferry. The case included a successful appeal to the Court of Appeal in relation to a prospective application to extend the time for service of the Claim Form that was set aside. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and excitable working Cocker Spaniel ‘Cooper’. She plays tennis for a local club and enjoys cycling and going to the gym when she has the time. Rachel likes to travel whenever she can and in recent times has been fortunate enough to visit a number of countries in South East Asia.
