More about Maria Owen
Maria Owen is a Trainee Solicitor in the Occupiers’ and Public Liability Department, with experience ranging from slips and trips at supermarkets or council premises, to dog bites and accidents at school. Maria graduated from the University of Manchester in 2025 with a first class law degree and joined the firm through the graduate scheme later that year.
Maria quickly rose from her previous role as Litigation Assistant to now training for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam and seeks to qualify in 2028. When asked what she enjoys most about working at Express, Maria answered “I work in a department full of highly experienced solicitors, who are always willing to share their breadth and depth of knowledge. It is an ever-growing firm full of opportunity to grow, develop professionally and to learn”.
