Mollie Budgen is a Solicitor in the Consumer Claims Team, specifically within the Subrogated Recovery Team, specialising in property damage claims. Her work covers a wide range of matters involving property damage, including road traffic accident, subsidence, escape of water, fire damage, fallen trees, and claims involving defective workmanship, all causing property damage, and not limited to these.
Mollie studied Law at Edge Hill University before completing her LPC at Manchester Metropolitan University, graduating in 2022. She joined Express Solicitors in June 2022, starting in the Road Traffic Accident department, before moving across to the Consumer Claims department in 2024. Mollie qualified as a solicitor in March 2026.
Since qualifying, Mollie has developed a strong technical understanding of subrogated recovery litigation and the evidential and procedural challenges that arise in property damage disputes. She is committed to progressing claims efficiently, with a focus on achieving practical and commercially sound outcomes for clients.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role at Express Solicitors, Mollie said: “I enjoy the variety that comes with subrogated recovery work. Each case presents different challenges, and I like the problem-solving aspect of working through liability and quantum issues to achieve the best outcome for clients.”
