At Express Solicitors, we pride ourselves on nurturing talent and providing real hands-on experience for aspiring legal professionals. Chloe’s journey is a testament to how our structured training and supportive environment help young lawyers thrive.

Chloe joined Express Solicitors through our Graduate Scheme, which seeks newly graduated professionals with law or business degrees. The scheme involves six to eight weeks of intensive training in an academy setting before participants are placed into a department as a Litigation Assistant or Paralegal. This hands-on approach ensures that graduates gain essential skills from day one.

During her time in the scheme, Chloe gained invaluable experience drafting complex legal documents, attending trials, and working closely with clients and third parties. Under the guidance of her supervisor, Dan Jameson, she was given opportunities to expand her knowledge and attend important conferences—all of which contributed to her securing a training contract.

Before joining Express Solicitors, Chloe worked as a paralegal in conveyancing—a completely different area of law. She made the move because of the clear opportunities for growth and progression within the firm. Express Solicitors’ size and structure offered a far more hands-on training experience compared to other firms, something she believes is rare in the legal industry.

Over the past year, Chloe has shown real passion for litigation. Her commitment to delivering excellent work, meeting deadlines, and proactively seeking development opportunities has set her apart. She is a go-getter who consistently strives to improve—a crucial trait in such a competitive field.

Securing a training contract in the UK is no easy feat. It’s a lengthy and highly competitive process that requires resilience. Chloe acknowledges that many aspiring solicitors face multiple rejections before securing a position, making her achievement even more rewarding.

What excites Chloe most about a career in personal injury law is the ability to help people rebuild their lives. Assisting clients—especially those who have suffered catastrophic injuries—and securing the compensation they deserve is what gives her a true sense of fulfillment in her career.

Chloe’s story is a fantastic example of how Express Solicitors’ Graduate Scheme and training contracts provide the perfect foundation for aspiring litigators. Her journey is just beginning, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for her. To find out more click here.
