It is almost nine years since Salman Abedi detonated a suicide bomb at the Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017 as music fans were leaving an Ariana Grande concert.
Express Solicitors appointed one of its experienced Partners, David Small, to personally undertake the work involved to obtain compensation for a number of clients who were injured in one of the most serious terror attacks in the UK.
Express Solicitors’ clients, in common with victims represented by other Manchester firms acting as a group, have recently received compensation and are happy to get to the end of a long process which has involved various inquiries and legislative changes, which hopefully will reduce the risk of something like this happening again.
Express Solicitors, on the night of the terrible incident, worked with other solicitors in the Manchester area and via the Manchester Law Society, and made it clear that Manchester firms should offer to provide legal expertise with no legal fees deducted from compensation.
The work included pro bono support with Criminal Injuries Compensation claims and representation at the Investigatory Powers Tribunal.
