This group is made up of staff who are interested in Diversity and Inclusion and new staff members are welcome to join the “All Diversity & Inclusion” group. We work in a firm where we value, respect and celebrate differences, enjoying the benefits these differences bring to the culture and performance of our firm.
The purpose of the group is awareness for all in the firm that there are a group of people they can approach if they have any issues or concerns in relation to diversity and equality, should they arise.
The group is actively committed to promoting and participating in good practice.
The D&I group regularly hold clinics where you can come and discuss any issues or queries relating to diversity and inclusion within the firm. Some examples of things that the group can help with are:
- Information on how to handle and report any discrimination issues
- Tips on how to deal with sensitive issues within your team
- Support for anyone feeling excluded for any reason
- Information on Express’ Diversity Policy
- Literature on events and meetings taking place.
If you have an idea or contribution for the group, please discuss with Senior Associate Seetal Sagar-Jhanji, or their designees in the first instance, we welcome suggestions and offers to help. Information will be regularly updated on the website regarding forthcoming events and articles and emails will be sent by the group on a regular basis.
Please note staff members can talk to the Diversity and Inclusion Group informally if they feel in any way unsure about a Diversity and Inclusion matter. This group is a forum to ensure that people know that they have an alternative safe and supportive space to discuss any concerns should they feel they cannot approach their supervisors or the HR team. The team is happy to act as a “go between” between staff and HR/Management should any issues arise.
