Abigail Charley is an Assistant Solicitor at Express Solicitors, having joined the firm in September 2015.

Abigail has extensive experience in both Claimant and Defendant work including drafting schedules, bills and points of dispute, preparing replies and negotiating settlement on a variety of matters, with a particular interest in personal injury.

Abigail enjoys the challenge that her job provides, as well as the evolving aspect of costs. Abigail has joined Express Solicitors with a view to further her career in costs, and she hopes to take advantage of the great training and opportunities the firm has to offer.

Abigail is an organised individual and prides herself on being efficient with excellent attention to detail. She places a huge emphasis on delivering the best service possible. In her costs career to date, Abigail has never lost a case at provisional assessment.

Abigail gained a Law and Criminology degree at the University of Sheffield before completing the LPC at the same institution. Before joining Express Solicitors, Abigail worked at a costs consultancy in Manchester city centre and has 2 and a half years’ experience in this field.

Abigail resides in Didsbury and in her spare time she enjoys visiting her parents who own a guesthouse in the Lake District. Abigail enjoys walking her dog, Florence, who is only 10months old so full of energy!

During the week, Abigail keeps fit by running, is a member of Cheadle Kick Boxing club and has also recently started to play squash.

Abigail enjoys spending her time dining at Alberts in Didsbury! She also loves going to gigs and watching live music, with her favourite venue being the Albert Hall in Manchester.

Abigail is a keen traveller and aims to visit as many new cities and explore as many new cultures as her holiday entitlement allows her to! In the last few years she has visited Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bilbao, Thailand (where she gained her PADI Open Water diving qualification), Budapest, Madrid and Greece. She also went on her first skiing holiday in the Swiss Alps. Abigail is yet to visit America and would love the opportunity to visit soon!
