Aidan Uttley is a Trainee Solicitor in the Employers Liability department, at Express Solicitors, having initially joined the firms New Client Team in May 2017.
When asked what he likes best about his role, Aidan commented “I enjoy the fast pace of personal injury law and the self-discipline which is required to ensure that I am aware of the most recent updates and changes which can ultimately end up making a difference to my client’s case.
“I believe that it is important to recognise the demography of our Clients’ and as such, ensure that I tailor my approach to the changing needs of each individual. It is important to manage the expectations of the Client’s and provide clear, concise and easy to understand legal advice.
“It is crucial to recognise, empathise and try to understand the effect that an accident which results in an injury may have on each individual. The injuries that our Client’s suffer can sometimes be the least of their worries, they must also deal with periods of absence from work, medical costs and an inability to do the things that they most enjoy.”
Before joining Express Solicitors, Aidan studied Law at Liverpool John Moores University. During his degree, Aidan lived in Malaga, Spain for 3-months during the summer of 2015 conducting Legal Research and helped to shape the curriculum of the University of Malaga’s Law course.
Aidan then moved back to Manchester where he studied at BPP University for his LPC, whilst working full-time at Express Solicitors. He completed his LPC in June 2018 and is currently studying his Business Masters Degree part-time.
