Joe Brown is an Assistant Solicitor in the Occupier’s and Liability department, having initially joined the firm’s New Client Team in August 2016.
When asked what he enjoys most about his role at Express Solicitors, Joe answered: “I work in a fantastic team, and no two days are ever the same. When you come into work in the morning, you never know how the day will pan out, which makes the job interesting. Although it can be frustrating at times, working in such a dynamic and fast-paced environment keeps you on your toes, and it means that you have to be adaptable.”
Although the department works on a variety of case types, Joe works closely with Solicitor, Rachel Price, who handles the firm’s claims arising from cosmetic treatments that were carried out negligently, and they come with their own distinctive challenges and complexities.
“It is important to remember that every client is a unique individual with their own experiences, personalities and levels of understanding. The litigation process can be confusing and intimating for those unfamiliar with it, and I always try to bear this in mind every time I make or answer a telephone call, or draft a letter. I try to make sure that clients fully understand what is happening with their claims, what the next stage is going to be, and what needs to be done to get there.”
Before joining the team at Express Joe graduated from the University of Oxford in 2015 with a BA in Jurisprudence before going on to complete the LPC and LLM at the University of Manchester in 2016.
