Julie Pearson

Quality & Progression Executive
» Back To Department

Julie Pearson is a Quality and Progression Executive in the Quality and Progression team at Express Solicitors having joined the firm in September 2018.  Julie is no stranger to law firms, however, having started as a Junior Clerk in the 1980’s and working her way up the employment ladder.

Julie has had extensive training in personal injury law, having spent in excess of twenty years working at Manchester law firms as a Personal Injury Litigator where the cases she dealt with gradually increased in complexity and value.  She has taken great care in getting to grips with medical terminology and gained a self-taught qualification through the Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists (AMSPAR). This has given Julie an excellent understanding of injuries sustained by clients enabling her to gain success in claims involving soft-tissue injuries, fractures, dislocations, ligament ruptures, extensive facial and body scarring, anxiety and PTSD, and more unusual cases such as Marfan syndrome where the accident affected the Claimant’s heart and surrounding tissues.  She has also been successful in pursuing claims against an automatism defence and has a 100% success rate for detailed assessment of costs.

Julie has an ethos of ‘getting things right the first time’ which has led her to the role that she now fulfills where quality is the key; describing it as ‘a feeling of coming home’.  Above all she wants to be of service in an ever-changing personal injury environment, where passing on her knowledge of how law firms operate in the specialism of personal injury may be of benefit to the experience of Claimants, staff and management.

Julie is the mother of an adult daughter and lives on the edge of the Peak District and within walking distance of Kinder Scout – a moorland plateau, on which exists the highest point in the East Midlands.  The location is ideal for Julie and her partner who both enjoy hill and mountain walking locally and around the country.  Julie has scaled peaks in the Lake District, Ireland and most recently Ben Nevis in 2016.  She has a sense of adventure and participated for charity in a zip wire jump from the top of the Imperial War Museum spanning the Manchester Ship Canal.

Julie enjoys travel in the UK and beyond where she can – for sightseeing and getting acquainted to the ways in which other people live and work.

Amongst Julie’s other interests are sketching and painting, reading and crosswords and one day would like to take time to write.  Daphne du Maurier and J K Rowling are just two of her favourite writers.

Julie’s favourite quote –

Eleanor Roosevelt – “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”
