Megan is a Trainee Solicitor in the Employers Liability department, at Express Solicitors, having initially joined the New Client Team in November 2017.
When asked what she likes best about her role, Megan commented “There is such a sense of achievement in helping Clients who have suffered accidents, through no fault of their own, secure the settlement that they deserve and knowing that I have done everything in my power to make the process as stress-free as possible.”
“I believe that everyone in our team is committed to this goal, which makes the work place such a positive environment.”
Megan specialises in Employers Liability and Industrial Disease claims. Megan says, “I always strive to achieve an excellent relationship with my Clients, and I am sympathetic to the difficulties that can ensue following an accident at work, which can be life changing. The effects of an accident can very often span beyond physical injury, as there can be added stressors such as a loss of earnings resulting in worries about bills. I am driven to ensure that my Clients’ cases are progressed and settled in the most efficient way, ensuring that they receive the right level of compensation, without adding to this stress by explaining the claims process to them every step of the way.”
Megan has completed her LLB at Newcastle University, followed by an LLM in Healthcare and Ethics Law at the University of Manchester. Whilst working at Express Solicitors Megan is also completing her LPC Part time. She hopes to progress further within the firm with a view to qualify as a Solicitor specialising in Personal Injury. Before being promoted to a Litigation Executive, Megan had the opportunity to work alongside Robert Weeden, Partner in Employer’s Liability department, and she has a particular interest in Industrial disease.
