Michaela Baddeley is a Litigation Executive in the Road Traffic Accident department, having joined the firm in July 2019.
Michaela says, “The colleagues I work with are absolutely great and are always on hand to support me when I need it. It’s true what they say – it’s not the job, it’s the people you work with. I also like that every case is different. It means that every day varies and there are always plenty of things to learn and investigate.”
Michaela began her career as a Legal Assistant here at Express Solicitors, undertaking a statement project for a variety of cases in the RTA department. She has progressed quickly to become a Litigation Executive, managing her own cases and guiding clients through their claims. Michaela added, “After getting to grips with things in the RTA department I am extremely happy to now have my own caseload and clients.”
Michaela believes she is friendly, understanding and a patient person, which is ideal when dealing with clients. She highlights how, often making a claim can sound daunting, especially when there is a lot of legal jargon being mentioned and explains “I like that I can confidently ease a client through this process and build up rapport and a relationship with them.”
Michaela has spent the last 3 years completing her Law degree, which she described as, “a difficult 3-year journey and the feeling of finally walking across that stage at graduation was unbelievable. I was so proud of myself and I know that my family were too.”
