Shaunna Fitzpatrick joined the firm in October 2014 as a Legal Apprentice and finished her course in May 2016. Shaunna currently works as a Litigation Executive in the Road Traffic Accident Department.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role at Express, Shaunna responded: “I enjoy investigating claims thoroughly which may include carrying out extensive research in order to progress a claim and to obtain the best evidence possible in order to prove my client’s claim.”

“I am really enjoying the challenge of working on cases that can have a life changing effect on people and knowing that I helped that client’s case to the best of my ability. In addition, I enjoy explaining the legal processes to clients as I want them to be informed at every step as well as them understanding why I take the necessary actions”.

Shaunna’s role involves submitting cases onto the MOJ Claims Portal and corresponding with the defendant’s insurance company. Shaunna also updates clients about the progress of their case, contacts the police regarding accident reports, conducts extensive research and communicates with other stakeholders including such as insurance companies.

Before joining Express Solicitors, Shaunna completed studies in Sociology, Business Studies and BTEC Law. Shaunna gained an impressive Distinction* on the BTECL3 Certificate in Applied Law by completing 10 coursework assignments at a consistently high level of standard and amounting to approximately 60,000 words in total.  Shaunna also completed the ILEX course whilst at College to help expand her knowledge of legal documents, in which she also gained a Distinction.

Shaunna currently lives in Reddish, Stockport, but often finds herself back and forth from Ireland visiting friends and family.

Since a young age of 6, Shaunna has had a passion for Irish Dancing, taking part in charity shows, national competitions and performing at dinner dances, weddings and also annual shows for the Manchester Irish Festival. Shaunna commented, “I have been extremely lucky as I was taught by leading dancers from worldwide shows including Lord of the Dance and Riverdance.”

In addition, Shaunna also loves to travel in order to experience new diverse situations and cultures. Whilst at College, Shaunna took part in two foreign exchanges, one which included staying with a family in Romania. Recently in Summer 2015, Shaunna also travelled to various cities in Europe within two weeks which included; Barcelona, Monaco, Paris, Amsterdam, berlin and Prague. In the future Shaunna hopes to travel Italy, America and Australia.
