Every year, Express Solicitors are delighted to provide law students with the opportunity to gain work experience through our Easter Vacation Scheme. The scheme is open to all law students who are either in their final year of their LLB, or currently studying their GDL or LPC. They are invited to apply, explaining why they are interested in working within a Personal Injury firm, before a shortlist of candidates are invited for an interview and technical test.
This year’s winners were Stuart Lim and Cameron Holness, pictured from left to right with Partner Carole Jones.
The winner of our second week was Usama Sheikh, pictured below with HR Assistant Emily Wattis.
During their work experience, they were able to expand their knowledge of the different areas of personal injury, as well as gain some practical experience. Sitting in the various departments they were given a variety of tasks including: research, completing questionnaires, drafting case summaries and taking part in test initial attendances.
Both Stuart and Cameron remarked upon how friendly and supportive everyone in the firm has been and how much they enjoyed their experience. When asked for comments Usama said, “Here at Express I have been fortunate enough to gain high quality work experience which has helped further my personal development and understanding of personal injury law.”
The application process for the 2017 Easter Vacation scheme is now open, please use the link below to make your application and the deadline is Friday 24th March.
