Express Solicitors are delighted to award Paulina Kasprzak, a first year Manchester Law School LLB student, a week’s work placement, plus £100 after she received the accolade of LLB Tort moot winner, with an outstanding 95%.
Paulina’s amazing 95% mark for her mooting assessment meant she was invited to take part in a highly valuable week’s placement with Express Solicitors, over the Easter holiday.
Luiza Da Costa, recruitment and training manager for Express Solicitors, presented the prize to Paulina at an end of term gathering for all LLB year one students. Luiza said: “Express is delighted to present this prize and the firm is very pleased to support junior lawyers. Express is looking forward to welcoming Paulina for the placement and continuing to work in partnership with MMU.”
When asked what she enjoyed most about her work experience placement at Express Solicitors, Pauline commented: “It was a great chance to put my legal knowledge into action and I appreciated the opportunity of being able to take part in real legal tasks. I found personal injury more interesting that I previously thought and I learnt to never make assumptions about a person’s injury or accident, it’s important to build a case entirely on facts!
“Before this week I thought I would choose a career in family law but now I think I would be interested in personal jury; it is so worthwhile helping those who have suffered at the fault of someone else.
“I really valued the opportunity to take part in work experience at Express Solicitors as I hadn’t expected to win the competition and the placement has provided me with a great taster of personal injury and legal experience in general.”
Paulina’s plan for the future involves finishing her degree at MMU before going on to do the Legal Practice Course before looking for a training contract.
