Kimberley Kirkby is a Partner at Express Solicitors. Specialising for a number of years in claims involving accidents in the workplace Kimberley headed up a sub team in our Employer Liability Department.  In recognition of her tenure and team management skills Kimberley now heads up our RTA Department, continuing to work on cases involving both accidents in the workplace and also Road Traffic Accidents resulting in serious injuries.

Hugely popular within the firm, Kimberley has been at Express Solicitors since 2007 and the people friendly skills which have endeared her to her colleagues are also used to good effect when communicating with clients.

Joining the firm initially as a paralegal, Kimberley’s rise to Partner and latterly Head of Department, reflects the firms excellent training programmes. In conjunction with her work at Express Solicitors, in 2011 Kimberley was appointed secretary of the New to Personal Injury Group, part of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). Kimberley has since been appointed in the role of Secretary to the APIL North West Regional Group, a position she stepped down from after a number of years service.

Kimberley has extensive experience in dealing with Employer’s Liability claims, with specific expertise and interest in Armed Forces personnel cases as well as in serious injury Road Traffic cases.

Kimberley has extensive experience with Employer’s Liability claims, below are examples of cases that she has worked on:

  • £157,500 for a client who fell from a ladder
  • £300,000 + for a non-freezing cold injury suffered by a soldier
  • £165,000 for a client who fractured his ankle from a fall from a ladder
  • £80,000 for an accident at work

Kimberley resides in Wilmslow, Cheshire with her husband and two daughters. Passionate about animal welfare, it is Kimberley who ensures that at least some of the charity work Express solicitors does is in aid of animal charities.

A family girl at heart, she enjoys spending time with her sister and friends whether that be hiking in the countryside, visiting country pubs or at home while she cooks a Sunday roast.

Kimberley loves to travel and has enjoyed various trips across Europe and a longer visit to Vietnam where she spent time gaining an insight into local cooking. India is next on the list for a far flung visit.
