Express Solicitors has sealed its first acquisition for £250,000. The Manchester-based firm has snapped up Lavin Copitch Solicitors. The acquisition includes all the firm’s work in progress totalling several hundred personal injury files.
The acquisition was made possible due to a £4.1m refinancing package from RBS Corporate following Express Solicitors’ successful conversion to alternative business structure (ABS) status last month.

Express Solicitors was advised by its own accountants, Simpson Burgess Nash and law firm, O’Connors.
Established in 2000, Express Solicitors is based at Palatine Road in Northenden, Manchester and specialises in personal injury and accident claims, medical and clinical negligence claims and serious injury cases.
The firm has 148 employees including 13 partners and 47 fee earners.
Lavin Copitch was founded 15 years ago and includes two partners working out of offices in Altrincham and Gorton.
